Description: 

This device client access license (CAL) authorizes one computer to access Exchange Server, regardless of the number of users (for example, a shared workstation). It is valid for both Exchange Server 2007 and Exchange Server 2003, and both Enterprise Edition and Standard Edition. However, if your organization has the 2007 Enterprise Edition, it is important to work with Microsoft support to be sure your setup is correct.

User CALS are also available. A user CAL authorizes a user to access Exchange Server from any device (for example, when an employee accesses the server from a computer at work and another at home).
